I have 2009 Electra Glide that is being converted into a Street Glide. I am keeping the brake light set up off the Electra Glide. I want to add the Street Glide Fascia and Tri Bar light. What is difference in the 06 to 08 light and the 09 light? I know the 10-16 light is different.
the converter for the brake/signal lights is in the tribar.
I have not done this but I know there are many threads on this popular mod
the CDN version has both large taillight and the FLHX markers ( CDN DOT regs)- if that is to your liking you can check that version of the 09 wiring diagram in the manual-
and/or the plug for your fender tip light behind the taillight has not only ground and run pins but also a pin for thebrake light circuit - that can be a source for brake light power if you need-
I did my own fender tip light mods adding leds for brake light function and used that pin
The '06-08 uses a different narrower fender, the light is smaller? The '09 is a plug and play and the 2010-2016 seems to be the same light with different pigtails, looks like they changed a couple times. The fascia is the same 2009-2016.
I'm not sure about the light being smaller.I have #69358-07A Run/Brake,which is for 06-09 SG,mounted on my 14 CDN SG.This version has 3 wires coming out of it,which is normally plugged in under the seat,or behind the tail light. The newer version,2010-up,has no wires coming out of it,but has an inp, harness coming from under the seat goes here, and an oup, harness going to the rear signals plugs in here.I think you'll need the older version.
