It could be something as simple as a leaking derby cover gasket. It would be a good idea to replace it anyway when you remove the derby cover to check the primary fluid level. Also check the the drain plug carefully beneath the primary case. Make sure you pull the correct plug as shown in the service manual. When you remove the proper plug check for any metal shavings on it (it`s magnetic) and for oil around the case where the plug goes. Also look at the threads on the plug for damage from over tightening. Metal shavings could mean a bad bearing (probably the internal primary bearing, but not likely if the bike doesn`t have a lot of miles on it). The plug is tapered, so if it was over tightened it would go back in farther than normal when hand tightening it. If so, replace the plug and use teflon tape on the threads, being careful to wrap the tape around the threads carefully and in the correct direction. This will insure that the tape won`t unravel and get into your primary case. Be very careful to use caution when tightening, and not use much more torque than hand tight if the threaded hole is enlarged. Don`t worry, the plug won`t back out even if you perceive it to be somewhat loose. You will have to use your own judgement here. Clean the bottom of the case thoroughly, as well as the primary case and derby cover, so you can tell if there is still a leak in those areas. Go for a test ride long enough to get the engine plenty warm, and check with a strong light. Good luck.

No apologies necessary...on these sites it's the "details" that win successful responses. Sometimes one generation forward can drastically modify a process or procedure. Enjoy!

alright well i found the problem i think, checked the fluids and everything was full, but my mate helped me with changing the fluids a while back and probably from draining the tranny the oil splashed all over my shocks and everything and i forgot to clean it of, so i cleaned it with a high pressure water gun and now i see no more leaking, so i think that when i go riding the oil on the shocks and on the bottom heated up and started dripping of and therefore i thaught i had a leak. that's my theory i hope im right.
