Default Floorboards to forward controls

have a 2011 fatboy lo and i want to change my floorboards to forward controls. is there anyway to modify the existing parts to just add pegs? or a less expensive way than ordering a set of controls that cost 700+ bucks? i heard that you could use a set off the FX models? is there any truth to that? any input on this would be very helpful?

The website is your friend!! If you want to do the job right, spend the money & buy Harley parts. Just my 2 cents.
