Oxygen sensor "sizzles" when i touch the leads on both
Just about to swap the exhaust, intake and add a dynojet- so i put on some wd40 to penetrate and generally to get a look at things before starting....
Not familiar with o2 sensors, it appears to me that the insulation is either broken or ends right at the sensor - so i touch it with my finger to get a better look and i hear sizzling! Wtf? I do it again, more sizzling, i try it on the other sensor, again the sizzling! Is this normal- almost sounds like a short. Bike works fine, though tried it since i made it sizzle.
This is a 2013 breakouts fxsb with about 4500 miles, completely stock.
My question is this normal and to proceed or do i take it to the deal and delay my swap out?
Bike was cold. Not sure what it was. I went ahead ans swapped the xhaust anyways. Works like a charm , so i guess i was wrong maybe just paranoid. Thanks though...
