Default 2014 FXDB handlebar change

Just looking for some advice. Going to be changing out the handlebars of my 2014 street bob and was wondering if I should follow the service manual exactly and fully purge and remove the fuel tank. Also for the clutch to do a full adjustment requiring the removal of the clutch plate and all that...or to just loosen the line and then retighten. I would greatly appreciate any advice given. Thanks

I can't see any need to remove the gas tank, however you do need to protect it carefully! As for the clutch, if you are going to use the same cable you shouldn't need to disturb the cable at all, simply undo the clamping screws and lay the control lever out of the way as you work. Same comment applies to the brake master cylinder, however don't turn it upside down, as it may leak. If you are fitting taller bars that require longer brake lines ans clutch cable, etc, that will require more work, but still doesn't need to involve removing the tank or disturbing the clutch.
