Harley Museum Exhibit-Evansville, Indiana
The exhibition will feature vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycles dating back to 1914. Examine the exceptional "art of design" and stunning mechanical science of a vehicle that has a remarkable 103-year history - from when 21-year old William S. Harley and 20-year old Arthur Davidson made available to the public the first Harley-Davidson motorcycle in Milwaukee in 1903 - to the present day.
Museum-quality examples of this classic American machine will be presented in a setting of photographs by the award-winning American photographer Monika Minerva of Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Merva's photographs will be taken from her "Biker Round Up" series created from images captured during the Sturgis, South Dakota's celebrated rallies.
The Evansville Museum is located (on the banks of the Ohio River) at 411 S.E. Riverside Drive, Evansville, IN 47713. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday Noon - 5 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Information will be coming to our website shortly, and you will be able to learn more at www.emuseum.org. I'm also working on our latest edition of our Members' Magazine, COPIA which has an article featuring this exhibition. If you would like for me to send you one of these when they are finished (March 1), let me know and I'd be happy to get one to you.
If you are interested in coming to see the exhibit, and making a weekend of it, I'd be happy to fill you in on other interesting things going on in town at that time.
Hope to see you here!
Susan
