plan on going up there this weekend to check out the museum.who can help me with some things to do and places to avoid sides of the city.i want to check out some cheese factory and brewery's.any help would be great.
just moved from milw. to waterloo area six months ago.
I would go to the miller brewery tour. miller is in the menomonee vally same as the museum. there is also a casino right down the street from there.
if you like good mexican food and drinks LaPerla is on 5th and national. all in the same area. if you are looking for some good food let me know what you like and I can tell ya where to go.
the only area of milw. you have to stay away from is the north and some parts of the northwest side. have fun milw. is a cool town.
Milwaukee has it's Veteran's Day Parade on Saturday. It goes through downtown and ends at the lakefront. It starts at 11:00 and is lead by various bike clube (H.O.G, American Legion, etc.). The Art Museum, War Memorial and Discovery World are all adjacent to the celebration at the lakefront.
For a brewery tour, I would recommend the Lakefront Brewery. For restaurants near the downtown area (all microbreweries) I would recommend The Ale House, Water Street Brewery or Rock Bottom Brewery.
Google will get you additional info on any of this stuff.
Enjoy!
Thank's everybody that will help alot. can't thank you enough sound's like a great time.wish i was spending more time. but hey may go back up on the scoot next year. again thank's and i will be careful with the weather.you all stay safe.
