Default Greetings!!

Hello all, just introducing myself here. I will be around a lot, I'm coming from The VTXOA(Honda VTX Owners Assoc.) where I have accumulated some 26,000 posts helping others out on their bikes and I hope I can do the same here after I get to know my 2007 Road Glide better when I get it in 4 weeks! As you can see in my profile, I'm in St. Charles, IL. That is about 40 miles due West of Chicago. I ride with all bikes, have owned Honda's and Harleys(second HD will be this Roadie) during my28 years of riding. First bike I picked up was in my Grandparents garage, turned out it was my Uncles. Asked him if it worked and if I could ride it. He said, if you can get it running, you can have it. It was @ 1976 Honda 125 Enduro, and I worked on it all summer when I was 12. Got that going and rode it through the wooded lot my Grandparents had and right into a tree. Broke some ribs

After that, some off-road racing, then sport bike racing, now cruising.
Maybe I'll see some of you around

Howdy Chicago spike. Your experience will be appreciated here on the forum. Nice to see that you have gone back to Harley. Now get that sucker, fix it the way you want it, and enjoy the ride. How are things in the windy city these days. I, along with a friend from work are traveling to Moonshine, Ill. next month for a rally they have put on for/by ST owners. I guesstamate the trip from here in Detroit to there will be about 400 miles. Are you familar with it? I figure this will be a good way to start the riding season.

Nope, not familiar with that one. Been out of the HD loop for a while now and didn't go to any big gatherings before(younger and more of a lone rider that does notlike big crowds) But things change, people change too. Wife and I, after being together for the last 22 years now, just had our first child, a son, in December. We had given up hope that it would happen years ago. And for the last 4 years or so, with my VTX, I have been going all over the country on it to rides geared towrds Honda and the VTX. I'm also locked into going to 2 more Honda events this summer. The Honda Hoot in June from the 18th through the 25th with a few buddieds that ride HD and a few that ride Wings. Then I will wash the Roadie, wash me, and wash some clothes to pack again for Denver on June 27th! There is the 5th Annual VTX Ride-In there on July 1st through the 4th. Heading out early to go through South Dakota and the Black Hills area before meeting my wife and son in Denver.

Congradulations on the new addition. I'm sure heaven sent. I have a step son who went the adoption route after several attempts. We love her just the same as our grand-child. Your life will probably be in for some changes. Be ready and accept them. Thanks for the heads up on the other get togethers for the Honda riders. To tell the truth, with the exception of this one to Moonshine, I probably wouldn't get into most others. Just wondered about this one. See you around.
