Rider in a sidecar get tossed around a good bit . Even with seat belt and pillows.
Also on a sidecar you have 3 wheels all hitting bumps at different times. They can be rough.
Sidecar sales seem hit or miss. Sometimes people travel for them, sometimes they are sold cheap.
Which has better tire wear? Maybe trikes do?? Seems some people's side cars eat tires. PLus side cars have to be set up correctly. You could just buy a factory trike. I have not rode either.

We had our sidecar on two different bikes - 81 Wing then our 89 Wing. Initially installed it on the 81 Wing back in 88. Had it repainted when we got the 89 in 1990. So, all together, put about 30K on the sidecar tire.
Sold the sidecar when we triked the bike - tire was still in great shape.
Myself I like side cars, but they are a learning process some just can't do it. Trike on the other hand my friend who got them picked it up right away. I like the side car because I can carry my beer, luggage, and blow-up doll all in one place, can't do that on a trike. If you do decide to buy a trike, make sure you get one with reverse.
Would she be more comfortable behind you on a trike, where she would be touching/feeling you and feeling secure with you being close to her more than sitting in a sidecar all alone and not feeling your presence of being close to her?
