Default Best Trailer?

I know the post is subjective, here's my story...I have a 2014 Ultra Limited, on my Bucket List is a 7000 mile trip cross-Country. I always had hopes of doing it by bike but as I (and the bike) get older I'm realizing that might not be possible so my next option is to trailer to destinations and spend some time at each, I'm allotting about 2 months for the trip. A bunch of years ago I bought new a Diamond Cargo 6'X10' but had to sell (should have kept it) to make room for another toy trailer. I towed my bike from NY to Florida, NY to Maine and it worked well. So I'm looking for a single bike trailer to make my trip. Any that I should stay away from, any that are considered the best? I'd prefer enclosed to keep spying eyes away but might consider an open trailer too. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated, thank you.

I have a Kendon SRL stand-up motorcycle trailer. It is an open trailer and is a wonderful thing.

That looks interesting and would solve the storage problem as I could just fold it up and put it in the garage. Any problems towing, ANY issues at all? I always like to base my decision on the negatives, do you have any? Two things I see, it's open and it's pricey, $4,000 if I'm reading correctly Thank you...

The only problem that I encountered is lining up my bike with the wheel chock. I solved this by putting a HD window decal on the rear back window of my SUV. I use the decal as a target to aim at while riding up onto the trailer and into the chock.
My trailer wheels are chrome so I would suggest purchasing the spare tire at time of purchase of trailer so that you do not end up with a black rim spare.
I have had no negatives with this trailer. It trailers my 800 lb FLHTCUI easily.
There is no provision for attaching a tool box for hand tools, a Jack, or lug nut star wrench.

I got a fold up Stinger Trailer for my TriGlide a few months ago. It was a little less expensive than the Kendon. I looked at both, but when folded the Kendon was too tall to fit easily in my garage. The Stinger isn’t a “flat bed” type and instead has rails to ride your bike onto. They make them for two wheelers, trikes, and double units for two bikes. I just finished towing my trike over 2,000 miles from Illinois to Colorado to Arizona. Every type of road from interstates (at 80 mph) to hair pin mountain roads. Smooth roads, rough roads. The trailer worked great. Usually I didn’t feel like I was towing anything. My only other thing I’d add about the Stinger or Kendon is actually folding them up might not be as easy as it seems depending upon your age and ability. I’m sure a single track one would be ok, but for me at 73, I needed help folding and unfolding the trike trailer. Otherwise, it worked well.

I don't own a trailer to put the scooter in / on ( I do have a Bushtec for the scooter ) ... With so many choices and types available I think I'd establish a budget and go from there ... Good Luck

I just bought a zpro rampless trailer that you crank down flat to the ground and just ride on.
Just received yesterday and loaded up my snow blower to take to storage for a little test run.
Came back home loaded bike up and put in garage. It also works as a lift table now to.

There is no Best trailer . There is what is the closest you can get for what you want.
Make a list of what you must have and will not settle for one with out it. Example enclosed, one bike two bikes. How low a ramp. Dual or single axle.
Then your wants and keep looking for the one that checks the most boxes..

The "best trailer," for me anyway, is a 12'x6'4" single-axle dovetail ramp-gate trailer.

I needed a multi-purpose trailer that could haul up to 1 or 2 full size touring bikes or a 54" zero turn mower as well as various utility hauling purposes. The dovetail and ramp gate make loading/unloading a breeze without having to carry around ramps and the ramp gate can be folded forward to reduce drag, even with two touring bikes loaded. I added 8 recessed D-Ring tie-down points and Condor quick-release mounting brackets for securing bikes and other cargo.

I tried a "Ramp Free" motorcycle trailer a few years ago but the design of the model I had made it too tail heavy with a full-size touring bike loaded on it. I had to place a couple of sandbags on the front to keep it from swaying. The weight distribution of the ramp-free trailer pictured in the previous post looks much better.

My Bear tracker was what I wanted. I what to be have the ability to trailer the Large sidecar rig or a trike if needed. One or two full size Touring bikes if needed.
The curved ramp makes loading a lot easier. The weight is only 450 Lbs so Total gross weight in much lower
