Hacked, Conversions and Trailering"Harley Sidecar, Conversion Trikes and Motorcycle Pull Behind Trailering Enthusiasts"
A forum for the discussion of your sidecar, Conversion Trike or Pull Behind Motorcycle Trailer.
A friend of mine just built a trike using an independent suspension setup that by doing some removing of a couple of bolts it will have the "tilting" effect. He hasn't tried that yet. Anyway he let me ride it yesterday and I have to say I really enjoyed it. It has started me thinking about a trike for myself.
If you click on each of the following links, my wife shot a couple of videos as well.
It was fun! It definitely has me thinking about converting my Road King to a trike. That was my first experience on a trike. I'm waiting till he gets his all set up with the tilting mechanism and then check it out more.

Im curious as to what independent suspension he used. The way the tops of the wheels toed in. makes it look to have the characteristics of a VW rearend.
I attached a picture of the rear end I picked up for my build.
I don't know the brand of the rear end. I will find out eventually. He doesn't have a computer and I only see him once in while. He says that it has the tilting mechanism, but he hasn't used it yet. I know that this was quite a bit cheaper than Mystery. I think he told me that he only has about $7000 in it. If that includes the tilting mechanism then that's a pretty good deal. All I know is the place is somewhere here in Missouri and he took his swingarm to them and they custom fit everything. Then you mount it to your bike. I'll see if I can get more information sometime soon.

Go for it! The wife and I enjoy riding her trike. She could not hold up the Fat boy as a two wheeler and now she rides in the mountains on her trike. If my knees get any worse I will be changing my FXSTC over to a trike. Be damned if I will quit riding.

That's kind of where I'm at. I know that someday (not so far off!) I'll have to go to 3 wheels if I am to keep riding. Why not sooner, than late. I'll admit, it was pretty cool not having to put your feet down!
