I'm thinking about building a trike on a late model Springer (FLSTS). Couple of questions for the experts. I'm thinking I should probably use a solid rear rather than IS rear. Also how would the front end affect of a springer be on a trike?
The other option I have would be to just get a slightly used Street Glide trike and adapt a Springer to the front. Is that even possible.
Saw a Springer trike a while back and it looked so great. Thought I might give it a try. I will be going back and forth to Md from LI soon, and thought this might be easier on me (age) in some of the serious traffic we have here. Doing the trip every other weekend on two wheels in the summer is getting tough.
The springer front end wouldnt take the torque that the front end gets when ridng a trike for very long before needing adjustment and bushing replacement.
