I have a amercan legend and I've pulled it more then 10,000 miles in the 5 years Ive owened it.The trailer is fiber class construction and has about 20 to 22 sq ft of room. Ive learned to load it on the tail heavy side,This keeps some of the tough weight lower.aprox 20lbs. Run the tire pressure lower then the tires call for about 20 to 26 lbs. This helps to keep the bounce off the trailer to a min. Trailer will hold about 500 lbs. and I've had it full
As for pulling it you will notice it when starting and stoping. Mine has no brakes on it . Due to cost and extra weight.

I hope to have a lot more miles on the trailer in years to come.
Really looking forward to posting pictures of the Road Glide and trailer this summer. Making more memories..........

I'm glad milwaukeeshaker can stomach the 300-400 a night for lodging in Sturgis. I would rather spend that cash on fun stuff and drag my trailer to the campground with my 2 weeks worth of stuff. I don't pull a trailer daily (just when I want some extra stuff for the long haul or to carry our golf clubs for a weekend of fun) and enjoy the occasional blast of speed too. Used to top 155 on my FZ750R. With the right set up I pull thru the twisties and mountains along with and faster than some of my buddies without the trailers. I used to think they were STUPID too until I bought and used one. I'm not old and not slow, just a little more practical than I used to be. (I actually do a short pre-ride with the loaded trailer to practice panic stops prior to setting out for cross country). The only day my bike will ride on a trailer will be the day it can't move on it's own, though.

My trailer/camper has paid for itself in motel and restaurant savings. This;

.
Has allowed me to do this;

.
And this;

.
I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Second that about Dale. He is second to none about moto-trailering and has some neet books on touring also.

I too pull a trailer. Made it myself out of a HF trailer kit and a Craig's List car topper. Probably less than $300 into it. While camping, we've had several people comment on they couldn't believe we got all that stuff in that small trailer. The older you are the more comfort you want. I was actually very surprised at how easily it towed. You don't even know its there most of the time.

I have pulled this trailer since 2004, when I bought it from the manufacture in northern Georgia. The trailer has over 30,000 miles. I use this trailer for long trips and when I go camping. The trailer has an empty weight of 135 pounds. The total area of cargo space is 25 cubic feet and I can lay flat and still not touch the front and rear of the trailer. When loaded it weights around 350 pounds. I have had the trailer up loaded up to 500 pounds at one time and did not have any problems towing. When towing the trailer I lose 2 to 3 miles per gallon which is not too bad in my opinion. I do not go over 70 mph because my gas mileage drops off and when going that fast you are normally on the expressway. the last picture was taken on a trip to key west florida, where I camped out next to the gulf of mexico. I get a lot of looks and pictures taken of my rig when I pull my trailer.
