Tent trailer comparisons needed
First I have to say nice forum! I am looking at the Time Out Camper and the Solace Camper. Both appear to be the same except the solace is made in China and the Time Out is made here in the US. I would typically always buy US when I can but there is a huge price difference in the two when you compare them apples to apples. The units I am looking at evenly specd are 5k for the Time Out and 3k for the Solace. I am not looking for opinions about chinese vs. US products but actual side by side comparison to see what the differences are. Dimensionally they are the same but I am looking for craftsmanship here and affordability. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Well, I can't tell you about the Chinese stuff - but those TO trailers are made right next door to me in Elkhart (I am in South Bend). The folks there are good at what they do and stand behind their stuff. I have visited their facilities - they have been in biz for quite sometime and have a GREAT reputation. I like their stuff a lot. I am going to trade or sell my ION trailer for their XL HD.
Give them a call - ask some questions, they may even know the differences and will be objective so you can make an informed decision.
