I have a 1993 sidecar and I 'am wanting to connect it to my 2011 street glide anybody have any ideas?
I don't know what all is involved but I can tell you that the Electraglide frame changed so you would need a connection kit for 2009 and later. Then you may run into a problem hooking up your disc brake system to the drum brakes on the car. I don't think they changed the mounting points on the car side, but I would check into that too. A good resource is Ronnie's HD http://www.shopronniesharleydavidson...partfinder.htm
Try looking up 1991 sidecar (they don't show a 1993) and a 2009 sidecar and see what the differences are.
To mikekielty -Newer H-D sidecar setups use a double banjo bolt off the bike's rear caliper to run a line to the sidecar brake. You also might need a new master cylinder and a reservoir to run the sidecar brake on a newer bike.
I like mine as it is my only transportation and has all the accessories I need. I ride no matter the weather. Yes we do not get much snow down here but in a couple of weeks I will be going to camp out in north GA and hope there is snow. Mine is not a show boat it is just a daily rider and works fine for me.
U hack guys tell me what it like to ride one...does it pull u one way or another...how is it to do turns left or right...I think they have a great look...talked to one guy and he had weights in his and said u need them to take the place of a person...
You ride a bike you drive a rig. One of the many things I like is when jerks are on my *** I just fly the chair and they back way up. Works every time. LOL
I really like your paint job better then any I have seen. But being my is a daily rider and I ride not matter what the weather it does not make much sense to make it a show boat.
