It's done up to a pretty specific taste. If you find the right guy, you may get it, but I bought mine last year this time for 65 with less the 5k on the clock. It's hard to get money for mods back out. Good luck, nice bike.

The only think I think is kind of different than most would be the bars which could be flipped or some apes of some sort added. I got a best off thing on there & open to offers but maybe I should mark the initial price down some.

I think it looks good overall. Are those just the stock bars flipped over? What did you do about the dimples?

Probably hoping for a bit too much considering we're heading into winter, unless you're in Oz. Good clean work overall. I like the engine details.

The bars are Krome Werks superbike bars which are quite a bit narrower & lower rise than stock. They are dimpled but it doesn't affect them being flipped.

Its a cool looking bike, I think like some have said the further you get from stock the harder the sale will be. Your price is fair, not a steal at that but not over priced either. I think for the amount of miles, year, and work done to bike you could drop the price a smidge. If it were me and I had the stock parts that I took off I would put it back to stock or close to it. Then you can sell off the aftermarket parts and will more then likely have an easier time selling the bike. I just picked up a nightster not too long ago so im familiar with the market here on the westcoast. There is a handful of 07-09 nightsters out here that are up for sale with under 3K on the clock in the $7,500 range. Most are stock or very close to it and I think that sells best because most buyers want to put their own unique touch to their new/used bike. Not that yours is a full custom it just appears to be a bit more done up then your average nightster for sale on Ebay or CL. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth, hope you can find a way to keep it, I doubt you will regret it!

i paid $6,500 for my '08 Nightster in the beginning of October, on the cold east coast, from a Harley dealer. it had just under 8K miles and around $3,000 in typical extras(apes, forwards, grips, intake, exhaust, tune, suspension, etc) and probably another G in powdercoating.

the beauty of the Nightster for me, and i'm sure every other owner, is the lack of chrome. unfortunately, your average HD buyer wants a lot of chrome. if you find the right buyer, its not a lot of money.

the good news is that the forty eight and iron 883 are attracting a TON of otherwise unsuspecting people to the HD brand. they all seem to dig the anti-chrome look, and your price puts you right where a potential Iron 883 buyer would be looking. my only suggestion would be to either flip those bars or find some stock nightster/iron/48 bars for cheap and swap them, and pick up a set of cheap used rear dampers to install. its not a personal taste thing, its about attracting the largest amount of potential buyers in your niche(anti-chrome) market.

good luck with the sale!

Bike looks to be priced at where it should be. Because of the mods, it will be a reduced buyer pool. But I think that the bike looks amazing. I would update the photos with better ones...

Best of luck with the sale. Post it in the different XL forums. That bike should sell fast to one of the forum members.

Yeah, I need to get the DSLR out and take some better pics. May do that Wednesday after work. The iPhone pics just aren't that good.

If a forum member wanted it I would knock $800 off the price but I figured most have a bike on the forums.
