Default Speaker wiring question

First off thank you for welcoming me into your forum and harley family! Last year i bought my first harley, a 2019 street 750, it was love at first sight. I added a new exhaust, sissy bar, seat rest and luggage rack. Arriving shortly are the rockville speaker pods, my question is how to do the electrical, is there a quick connect harness i could connect to the pigtail off of battery, or if that is even possible. Or do i just simply connect the supplied wires to the battery. I appreciate any and all help

I have the H-D handlebar mounted 12-volt auxiliary port, which is basically a cigarette lighter socket. It has a cable that runs back to the same onboard diagnostic plug that a fuel tuner would use. That's going to be fused and switchable with the the ignition key. It's going to provide 12-volts but I don't know how much amperage.

Another possibility would be an SAE 2-pin to cigarette adapter. This would go from the battery tender pigtail that is on your bike and have wires long enough to get up to the front of the bike. Again, it's going to be fused and provide 12-volts, but wouldn't be controlled from the ignition switch unless you also wire in a relay.

For either of these you could cut off the cigarette lighter socket and splice the wires into the wiring of your speaker system while retaining the plug that either goes into the ODB socket or SAE 2-pin battery tender socket. A quick search should turn up SAE 2-pin adapters of various sorts of connectors on the other end, including barrel connectors which might plug directly into your sound system.
