Ron, All different riding stiles. Just food for thought on this subject and this is just a thought . Using the front more often my ingrain more muscle memory , so when the emergency stop is need jumping on the front my be quicker for you . Like I said this is just a thought . Enjoy the conversation, enjoy the ride and continue to ride safe my friend
Yes, again I agree but with my 2014 Ultra they are linked brakes so in an emergency even if I just hit the back brakes the front will take over what it needs. Nice to have a conversation without hate, thank you for that!
Ron , I also like the new linked brakes also abs, had an emergency stop situation with my 16 CVO road glide ultra 65 mph to 0 . Bike stopped on a dime straight as an arrow, I am now sold on the system .
Agreed, I am not disputing that, me personally, I don't use the front brake for stopping. I am on a drill team and we were trained by an ex-motorcycle policeman on how to ride. I am one that just stays out of danger so I don't have to use the front brake, I can use the motor and back brake and of course making sure my brake light is on to let others know what I am doing, sorry but as a rider I assumed everyone would know I would do that. But again we know what happens when you assume. LOL
Thanks for the reply!
I fell for it and clicked. Stay in parades and drill teams where it's safe. Just stay in 1st gear bro

Sorry, but you are wrong. Using rear brake only just activates one of the front calipers, meaning you are not using a substantial portion of your available braking force.
Thanks for watching the video, I take it you are a pro to be able to correct me in my riding habits? Please, correct my ignorance, and help me to be a better rider. Or can you only type in words that hate instead of trying to help?
Thanks in advance, Pro rider.
No....You've got it all figured out there Ron.
Carry on.
i like to do both.
i down shift while revving engine to match rpms as i break. i mostly use back break. trying to use the front break more. worry that the front wheel will lock up and dump me.

If you're worried about the front locking up you've clearly not practiced correct braking enough; or at all. I don't know if you have ABS and I utterly don't care but you need to get in to a parking lot or on some country roads and practice thereshold braking. You're riding a motorcycle, not a moronic golf cart, you need to seriously get in this game or become another 'had to lay 'er down' statistic.

odds are when people crash motorcycles they will panic and lock up their back break and end up laying the bike down.
let me know what happens if you crash, mr i know how to break because i own a harley.
you're right, i should pratice more on doing panic stops.
