Not cheesy at all, Me and the wife did the BRP in 2007. Man that was a wonderful ride had a blast and plan on doing it again as soon as I get a chance. Loved the video and by the way that is quite a cuttie you got there!
I have heard a lot about the Blue Ridge Parkway.
How long is it ? What is the best time of year to ride it ?
The BRP is 469 miles long. Fall is probably the most popular time to visit because of the changing leaves. The colors are amazing. We were there in early Sept so it was still mostly green. Beautiful no matter what time of the year it is though.
Went all through the BRP when I was a kid. Didn't enjoy back then(too young to know any different) but sure would like to ride it now.....looks like you had a great time. Very nice video. Thanks for posting it.
Nice video! I've done most of the parkway at one time or another. Never all at once. I live about 45 minutes from it' so I ride on it alot in during the year. And yes fall is the best time, but it gets really busy with traffic at that time.
hey, that wasnt too cheesy,i liked the end when she said uh oh i was recording all that,,,glad i aint the only one that does that, blues traveler ,,good choice for your song too,,brp is great, when its hot in the summer all i wanna do is get up the mountain to the coolness, hope you had a chance to get off the path and foot it to some of the waterfalls, its a great place to ride and camp,,
We stayed at the Village Inn in Blowing Rock, NC during this trip. There are a few pics in the video from around the hotel. I highly recommend it to any of you considering a trip to the area.
It was reasonably priced and the accomodations were excellent. It is only a few minutes from the BRP. With a comfy king sized bed, HD flat screen tv, and a private hot tub out back with a view of the creek it was absolutely perfect for a getaway. There was nothing like soaking in that hot tub after logging a couple of hundred miles each day in the cool mountain air.
