I fail to see where the protection is except for possibly the head and neck areas.

Looks like the only protection it offers is to help prevent the whiplash effect.

Laying the bike down like that is no real test either. That was a controlled slide on slick pavement, and I noticed he even had to exaggerate the whole thing to make it seem worse. Shoulder pads that the crotch rocket guys wear is all that is, but on the outside..

In the real world we dont normally just set down bike and roll over, sometimes there's a kerb/lamp post/oncoming car etc etc, so in my opinion save your money..
