I was wondering if anyone would be interested in setting up a Mascot race. We could take two Mascots and start each one on opposite coasts. First Mascot to reach the other coast wins. To make it interesting anybody who signs the Mascot along the way joins that team. The losing team could buy the winning team custom tshirts or something. Dumb idea?
Last year it was in Europe. When it made it back to the US, it was in Washington state waiting for good weather. It finally began moving, but instead of moving back down in the US, they opted to take it up into Canada. Part of the deal with the mascot is how it is transported, and how it is handed off. Usually people communicate on the site here about its travels accompanied with pictures. It seemed to move along until the first week of August, heading eastward across Canada. Then nothing. So when I asked about its location, you see the response I got, and it wasn't from anyone involved with the mascot currently. So considering winter is on the horizon, the mountains are already getting snow in the higher elevations, and the fact that its somewhere up in a colder climated area I would guess we won't be seeing it down here until next year. If you can convince someone to hang a right and start heading southward with it. Hope you have better luck than I've had trying to get the holy grail....lol. I gave up on my try at it, but get great fun reading on how it actually is being handled. They play by their own rules using the buddy system.
