This is the latest log from an auto tune Run.What does it say to you?
Well you didn't cover much of the map. You stayed in the 2,000 to 2,500 RPM range and didn't go much over 20% throttle. It looks like a short run too.
If you want to get good results, you're going to have to cover a lot more of the map. Vary the throttle position and the load. If you have the PV mounted, you can monitor your hits as you ride. Try to cover as much of the map as possible.
AT runs should be at least 20 minutes long and under varied conditions.
Thanks fellas, on the next at run ill get on it and fill more of the map.
This at run was 35 minutes but as you can tell it was more of a slow cruse.
What does the orange, red and green mean?
Thanks
Rich
The mode in the picture is measuring "hits", which is the number of times you hit that RPM with that throttle position. Your mission is to change most of the cells from green to red. As you can see, it first changes to light green, then orange, then red. The auto tune will be more accurate with more "hits" in each cell.
More hits is more better, but keep in mind that there's just no way that you're going to hit anywhere near ALL the cells. You're not going to hit wide open throttle/1000 rpm, nor do you want to. Find a nice, open road, with little traffic and even fewer cops, and ride like a teenager. Hills help too. BE CAREFUL!!! It's easy to get so fixated on filling cells that you distract yourself from the important things (like staying alive and out of jail). Eventually, you'll fill up most of the area from the upper left to the lower right. Keep in mind, there's no reason to try to get it all in one session (DJ recommends 20 minutes at a time I think). Save the results, load the new map, and repeat. Stay within your comfort level, and don't get hung up on filling ALL the cells. The areas that you actually ride in will get filled in plenty fast.
Thanks guys. I did as stych suggested.Rode it like I stole it and filled the map up pretty quick. Im thinking 2 more at runs like this and should be good.
