Erratic Idle after changing security code
Like the title says, I changed my security pin last night, and now it won't Idle right. I started it today, and it wanted to idle at 2000 RPM's. I mess with the throttle, and it comes down for a few seconds. Then it goes back up. What the hell happened? It was great yesterday, before I changed the code.
I have no idea what it was. I saw someone else here lost their tune after they had the dealer put on a security system. I sure hope this didn't screw mine up.

If you shut down the engine while you have some throttle on, it will idle funny until it resets itself or you reset it by turning the ignition off and on a couple of times. Don't quote me on the procedure but it goes something like that.

I read something about if you turned it off with the throttle partially on, it will idle at that rpm next time, and something about turning it off and on three times to reset the idle--- or something to that effect. Check the manual to be sure .
