efi tuning
hi, i'm a first time user ofthis forum but, i have seen a lot of interesting info posted here. i have a 2001 heritage classic with a v&h longshots, se intake and the stage 2 big bore kit.i also have a power commander.last year i had andrews tw 50 gear driven cams put in and had it tuned and it ran great. this year i had the heads ported w/larger valves and the guy who worked on it just loaded a canned map into it. it runs pretty good, but i'm going to dyno tune it again because it still needs to be runnig better.the guy who worked on my bike has left that shop so i don't really knowhow the heads were configured. i know i can get the pc dialed in but i want to know if i can have the stock ecu reconfigured in case the pc takes a dump on the road. ecu currently has the stage two download in it,should i have a stage three loaded and do i have to take the whole bike to the dealership or can ijust bring the ecu in off of the bike? i hope some one can help me out. thanks and sorry about being so long winded.
