So my bike is throwing the IAT code. It's running great, no stalling, popping, or any other trouble. It does smell like it's rich though. What's the symptoms of a bad IAT sensor?
Have you erased the code to see if it comes back?
Always need to erase the code in order to see if it comes back.
If it comes back, try unplugging and replugging in the IAT sensor connector. If the code disappears you found the issue.
If the code comes back take the PC3 out of the system so the bike runs off the ECM without the PC3 involved. If the code doesn't come back the PC3 prolly has taken the proverbial $hit!
If the code comes back in all cases replace the IAT sensor as sensors do have a lifetime and your bike is old enough to start needing sensor replacement.

Start simple - many times a break can be found in the wire at the connector right where the wire goes into the rubber grommet. I can count on less than the fingers of one hand the number of truly failed IAT sensors I've ever come across since 1999.
