I have never had and probably never will have a professional Dyno tune
But yes i do think its worth the money if your not happy with the way your bike runs
Im happy so i wont do it

Fortunately or unfortunately what you experience/feel with your bike is the best you know, right?
Since you haven't felt how the bike runs after a proper tune it's good enough.
As long as you don't believe the rave reviews from those who have had their bikes tuned and don't experience/feel the smoothness and throttle response of a well tuned bike you will never feel you need or want a tune.

Depends on the proficiency of the person doing the tuning adjustments...
Very true! However, an incompetent tuner will not stay in business long. Tuner reputations are really all they've got to keep them in business. How many bad tuners have you heard of? Not saying they aren't out there, but with social media being what it is today, the bad ones can't last long. Word travels FAST.........
For me, it wasn't getting close at all. Bike is still running great since the tune and mpg's are back into the 40's. It has also seemed to get rid an issue that irritated me since I bought the bike. It used to at times hang the idle around 15-1600 rpm when riding. Happened often. When I came to a complete stop, idle would then return to normal. Once I was moving again, the idle would hang until the next stop. If I shut it down and restarted, it would behave for awhile, but eventually came back. Was starting to think it was a hardware issue in the bike, because it happened with the programming that was in the bike when I bought it, still did it with the FP3, and still did it with the PV. Since the dyno tune, I have ridden a couple tanks of gas through it, and has not happened yet. Used to happen frequently. Hope it stays away.
