Default No spark when engine gets hot

I've seen a few post with this same problem, but really no resolution to the problem. I have a 98 sportster 883 with a complete stage 1 upgrade, all Screamin Eagle. Recently, i have been having trouble with it dying on me when the motor gets hot, usually after about 30 miles or so if i'm not in town. I'm definitely getting fuel, voltage is normal at the battery, but i keep losing my spark. I thought at first it was a bad coil, so the last time it quit, i put in a brand new SE coil, and still did not get my spark back. I went through the whole diagnostic procedure as far as i could with a multimeter, as per the repair manual and it seems like i'm losing ground from the ignition module. has anyone else had this problem and what did it turn out to be? I am about to replace the module, but i hate to keep buying parts and finding out it won't fix the problem. If i do replace the ignition module, what is the best way to maintain my timing? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Before you start swapping lots of parts - double check and retighten all of your electrical connections. I a buddies bike that when it got hot would loose ground - not from the heat - but that the bike had been "vibrating" long enough to make the ground connection break. Let it sit, re-connect... and we would ride on. Finally talked him into putting a touch of clear fingernail polish on ALL possible electical connections - and now he can ride in the rain without loosing ground. Check the little gremlins first...

Bring a can of brake clean with you next time. When the bike dies, spray the module. If she fires the module is overheating.

Now that's the first time i've heard that recommendation. So the brake clean is to try and cool it i presume and evaporates quickly? So, if i was to try that, do i need to drill the rivets and ride without the cover on so i can spray it?

just go to a electronics store and get a can of electrical freeze, prolly even cleaner and safer than brake cleaner? start by spraying each componet seperatly til she runs!

run the bike in your garage

point a hairdryer at the module and give it a little primping LOL

if it runs bad with the heat on it, your suspicions are correct.

Well everyone, thanks for the input. Took it for a ride today, and as usual, it quit when it got hot. removed the timing cover, and sprayed the module with some electronics cleaner (couldn't find freeze spray, but it is still cold on contact), and lo and behold, it got it's spark back. Just to be sure, got it hot again, sprayed it, and wow, spark. Thanks for the input, i'm going to to get a new module.
