Ignition issue
I left my house and as soon and I gave it some throttle. It started to spit, cutout like the battery terminal was loose and backfire bad thru the exhaust from un spent fuel hit ting the hot exhaust. I made it about a half a mile. It cleared right up and ran great. Made it to work. The bike sat from about 11pm to 7am. Came out of work. Started the bike and let it warm up for about 10 minutes. It started fine, reved fine, idled fine again. Went to leave work. And it did the samething for about a half a mile again. Then ran great.
It is not a fueling issue. There was dew on the bike from sitting outside both times it did it. So I'm guessing that something is getting wet. Shorting out and after it gets warm the water evaporated and corrects itself. Could it be that or something else?
Maybe the ignition is going bad until it gets hot? Plug wires have some hairline cracks in the cover and be getting wet? Bad coil?
The ignition being bad unless it's hot seems very unlikely since electronic parts hate heat. A bad coil usually just ***** the bed? Right? I have two weeks to figure this out before I leave for a long weekend with the ol' lady. I'd rather not have something happen and hear about it. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance.
