Nah I was just stating that despite what you said, my experience and the shops I've talked to about this issue, all seem to agree, pc3 is not waterproof (which it should be, the technology exists) and for the amount of times it's caused these issues, there are better options.
Don't like my opinion? Don't pay attention to it then.

Water intrusion into the harness connector usually comes from either the connector not being secured in the proper position, or from abuse of the connector, damaging the water seal, or a combination of both. When the connector is positioned as the instructions show, properly lube and secured, there is usually no issue. Down here in the part of florida that i live in we get lots of rain, sometimes torential, and i've been caught out in it more than once. The only time that i have seen issues in 20 years of dealing with these products is when the basic instructions were not adhered to. There are lots of electrical parts on motorcycles that are not " water proof". They work because of the r&d work put into the desings for the placement and manufacturing of the unit. Most relays ans switches and modules are placed in positions to help protect them from the elements, but they are not Water Proof.

It's an electrical socket that will plug together only one way.
Dummy proof.
I know you wanna keep saying I didn't connect mine right, but if I did, it wouldn't have even worked at all.
The ecm wire harness just isn't water proof on those pc3s, sorry.
i know you don't like to hear that buddy.
No amount of telling me I did it wrong is going to change that though.
I didn't say EVERY tuner isn't water proof, but these things are going on motorcycles where alot of stuff is exposed to the elements.
Dynojet could've done a better job on that part.
I NEVER said that you did anything wrong. PERIOD.. However, the connectors are NOT DUMMY proof, if they are not connected and disconnected carefully they and the seals can be damaged, hence the motor company (HD) always says to check for bent and damaged or backed out pins and sockets in the diagnostic manuals
The ecm harness on the bike is not waterproof either, just water resistant. thats why the ecm is on an angle so that if it does get water in it, gravity will make it fall to the bottom of the connector, NOT the ecm.
I don't understand how or why you misconstrue everything that i post, but.........whatever.

i also said that my bike got water in it cause i was lazy and did not set the connector in the proper position, then I got caught in a torrential downpour and had to go through water that was stopping cars and trucks!!!!
All i ever said was that these units are usually very reliable when installed correctly.
