I have a 2012 ultra and got a base map from FM when I bought the PV. After a couple of auto tune session I had pinging at 2700-3100 RPM under load when the engine temp goes over 240F. Below that temp it runs fine without pinging. Should I add fuel or remove timing or is there something else? Thanks!

Have you ran any auto tunes yet ?
That's the first thing you need to do.

A couple of auto tunes is probably not enough. Did you save the changes and flash the new map to the bike? Also get the Mega Log Viewer (download) for hd. Run a couple of data logs and view it in viewer. That will show if your ve tables are close and where your pinging is. Without data you will be guessing.

I have run 4 auto tune session and saved them and then auto tuned the saved file. I still have pining at 2700-3100 RPM when the bike is over 230 Degrees F. It doesnt seem to be getting better.

set your pv up on the bars, open and set up the guages so you can see know events, map tp and rpm.....ride it, observe where the know events happen, retard timing by .25 a degree just prior to the know events, flash updated tune and repeat till no more pinging. you have to know where to retard it at, your guages and you your brain are your main tools, unless you can read data logs real well. you can add fuel also, but i would start with timing first and it might only take a little bit in just a few cells to get it right,,,,if you get most of it gone, go back over it and add a touch of fuel in the spots.
