Default Don’t know if I’m posting this In the correct place

I’m having 3 codes pop u1016 / p0605 & U1301 rides great ( 03 road king ) then out of no where the motor powers down as thow it’s on 1 cylinder the check engine only stays on while this is happening if I stay on the throttle it will limp along then go back to normal if I let go of throttle it dies ! I’ve replaced CPK / TPS / MAP & IAC sensors I am running power vision with autotune and can’t figure this out ! I get the same 3 codes to show on power vision but not in diag mode ! I’m at my wits end twice now the issue has stopped happening I put some miles on the bike then it just hits without warning ! I was thinking possibly the magnum braided spark plug wires but that didn’t make sense I just don’t know!

Is there a tuning device on this bike? Like a PowerCommander. If so clear the codes and take it out of the system and see if the codes come back.
Very common when PowerCommanders die or start to die.

you have a serial data bus wiring problem going on, check your speed sensor and the wires going to and from the speedo. if the ecm can not communicate with the speedo, it cant get what it needs to maintain idle speed control, look at the wiring diagrams and the flow charts in the FSM electrical diagnostic book.

I have both manuals for the bike and have tried to trace wire and have yet to find anything that stands out as needing attention I also pulled the sensor on top of the trans to clean it and it was spotless not a single bit of metal shaving on it ! Can u be a little more specific on what I should look at with regards to Speedo because the bike rides great 98% of the time then out of the blue this issue will manifest hang around for a little then go away right before this starting happening I had installed LED turn signals in the front and the signal indicator started flashing 6 times upon keying up indicating a code so I pulled the flashers cleared the codes and figured that would be the end of it I was also leaning towards the spark plug wires being culprit but now that your bringing up Speedo I doubt the aftermarket wires are the source I also noticed my tach needle would bounce when I hit and release my front break lever but can’t find any information on that issue ? I did install 14in apes and manually extended the wires because I was tired of waiting for the extension kit that was lost by usps ! further more at the moment I have the tank off because I had shimmed rocker arms but due to them being thin using 3 .0007s & a.005 shim decided to pul them for inspection and am now installing Set of fueling HP+ lifters and Ultima roller rocker arms to attempt to smooth things out in the rocker box minus the shims I will eventually order some billet support plates but I’m also currently ordering the fueling cam chain conversion kit and big oil pump I’m just trying to decide on a cam was leaning towards the fueling 525 reaper since it a straight forward bolt in cam but am leaning towards the TW48 which requires me to upgrade to vehicle springs but seeing as I don’t want to pull the heads because motor only has 7K miles on it I haven’t made my mind up yet I might grab the tool that allows me to swap valve springs without pulling heads seeing as one of the valve springs has a little rust on it which it shouldn’t ! Sorry going off track so much going on this electrical gremlin is driving me nuts because it wiped away any confidence I had in the bike to take long rides and I wait all year for the NY fall riding ! I appreciate the help I have exhausted the search bar to death on this topic listing was my last option !

Ok so the parts I listed above have been purchased I have since gone over everything I can access yet again and really only see some discoloration on the wires feeding into the fuse box (picture attached)
something I noticed is the lettering ( ABC) on the ignition switch harness and the letters (ABI) on the switch itself now in my mind I would think that these letters should be aligned to match when the harness and switch leads are connected but that’s not the case the wiring harness for some reason only goes on one way ?
