I have a target tune installed on my 08 flhtcu and I have a tune provided by FM on the PV. Here is the problem...when I flash the FM TT tune to the ecm the bike runs like crap (misses and feels like its starving for fuel), when I take that same tune and put it in the autotune the bike runs better that it ever has. I complete a solid autotune run and flash that to the ecm (I have done a number of these with scaling and capping both). When I flash the autotuned tune to the ecm the bike runs like crap again.
FM TT flashed to ecm - bike runs like crap.
FM TT in autotune mode bike runs fantastic.
I do have a solid light on the target tune. Another this is I spliced the 2 wire 4 pin plug into the existing 2 wire 2 pin plugs that are on the bike.
Does anyone have any ideas on this@
I believe the problem is where the OP stated "I spliced the 2 wire 4 pin plug into the existing 2 wire 2 pin plugs that are on the bike." If this is the case it appears you are trying to splice a kit for a 2 wire non heated O2 sensor bike on a later 4 wire heated O2 sensor bike, this is not going to work. The reason the bike runs better in Auto Tune mode is because it is open loop. I reached out earlier this week by email and have not heard back, if we can be of assistance we are here to help.
