idle speed

my 2001 electra glide started to idle really high around 18 to 2000 after normal operating temp. i replaced the engine temp. sensor and still have the same problem any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

3 come quickly to mind: Intake leak, sticking ISC motor, possible TP sensor. Does the idle just slowly rise as it warms up?

No pretty much stays at 18 to 2000 as soon as it gets warm, when starting it starts out around 12 which is higher then it was before problem started

So it starts at 1200 and increases to 2000 as it warms up? If so, I would visually verify that the ISC moves in and out at power up/down.

magneti marelli fuel injection...

If you have this type of fuel injection ...(think you do ) ...Check out this video ...
it show the procedure being done on an EVO ...but will work on the twin cam just the same
check for intake leaks at the head first , repair any found then do this ....
we have made this adjustment many times and it works perfect !!!
don't think you have an IAC motor ...
