well, truth told, the injectors do not run 100% duty cycle, ideally they should not run over the 60>80% duty cycle. if you are not a wot man, probably stock will be enough. you can see how much an injector can power hp wise by using the internet calculators. if for instance, a 400cfm carb can support an engine, a 750 cfm isn't much help. matter of fact, tooo big is just as bad as tooo little. it is the same for injectors, short duty will provide a poor spray pattern, the ecu will adjust duty cycle to demand from sensors and driver input. sometimes recommendations for bigger is just a way to cover bases since the seller does not know the end user intents. if the dyno tune passes, then it is an over-kill. some may just want to separate you from your money.

The comment may not be in the best taste but it has always been very difficult to follow those posts the way they are written. I’m not attempting to be the grammar police but proper sentence structure would be helpful to get the points across.
I applaud his attempt to help but I find myself scratching my head attempting to follow what is being said in many of his posts. No doubt the points are valid—just poorly communicated.

back on topic..

for the tuner to request bigger injectors.. he probably feels he can get better performance out of the motor,

your best course of action is ask for the current dyno results, THEN ask him what the bigger injectors are going to provide

as stated by bustert , they dont run 100%, im running a stage 4 on my setup with the stock CVO 110 injectors, tried 4.9' and they didnt provide ANYTHING, but a bigger TB would be more of a benefit than bigger injectors, mine carried the EXACT same wave and drop with both injector sizes telling us its lack of airflow choking the motor up top

im going to a 117 kit soon and upping to a 55mm with 5.5's

keep in mind... the stock injectors can keep up with more airflow, but stock airflow cant keep up with bigger injectors

as far as damage, none

so for $100 an injector.. might as well.. not like they are going to dump fuel or anything.. they are going to squirt what they are programmed too by the TTS and youll have them for future upgrades

youve been biten by the bug so more upgrades will follow
