Hi gang- currently running a '19 RGU 114" Twin Cooled w/ RS468 cam, HD SE Heavy Breather, decatted stock head pipe and FM Street Outlaws. Tuned via Power Vision and appropriate FM map.
What can I expect changing my exhaust to a FM Road & Track 2-1 and using that tune? I've got a map request in to Fuel Moto but may not get it for a couple of days. Tomorrow is the only day i'll have a chance to install the pipe and I may put a couple hundred miles on it before I can flash the new tune.
Any risk or issues expected? Thank you all in advance.
I sold a Road King to my son in Canada. I was running a Supertrapp 2 into 1 and it was tuned with a Power Commander 3 on a dyno. In order to import it we had to put the stock dual exhaust back on. I rode out to Utah on it shortly after the exhaust change and it ran just fine. He left it on for the next season and there were no problems. The motor made more power with the Supertrapp but the more noticeable thing was where the power kicked in. If I recall the change to stock pipes moved the bump up about 1000 or 1500 rpm. Quite rideable either way.
Just a data point, YMMV but I doubt you'll see any sort of problem.
1. Will the bike still run with the old tune? Yes it will.
2. Will it run like it should? Possibly.
3. Could it run better with a new tune? Absolutely.
Thank you guys... got the Road & Track installed today and it runs pretty good on the old tune. I got home tonight and had the new FM map in my inbox so I'll flash it to the bike tomorrow. BTW.. the R&T is one sick pipe!
