Default Does tuning affect vibration?

As I went into in another section of this forum, I’ve been complaining about vibration on a 2018 FLFBS that is new to me. So the M8 has hard mounting and twin balance shafts. Harley techs say it’s normal vibration coming through the frame not related to wheel balance. I find the vibration excessive. It has SE slip ons and intake and was supposed to have the correct Harley tune. Can a better tune reduce vibration?

A crappy running motor will vibrate more than a properly tuned motor. Without knowing what you have done (if anything) to your motor makes a difference. How many miles? Stock, any change to stock tune, slip-ons? I've seen slip-ons and even improperly gapped plugs make a difference. Original plugs? Champions run like **** in all my bikes and caused them to run like crap adding vibration. Autolites are my plug of choice and run best at .041. It's all been trial and error and an individual's personal preference. Champions used to make Harley's plugs. To each their own!

You state "rigid mount" ie: direct bolt to the frame? Are you saying there are no motor mounts on a bike this new? Wasn't aware that Harley " rigid mounted" anything in years? My 96 Springer is rigid mount and has less vibration than my Ultra, runs like a watch. Start simple. Have you checked the mounting, tight? Change the plugs and gap. Run premium or the cheapest gas? There are arguments all over the place about fuel octane and performance, just like oil. If the dealer won't help start checking things yourself. Start simple and see what happens. Oh, if you came off a Honda, welcome to a Harley.

with today's efi, not that likely.
however, a slightly rich mixture can borderline on what they call 4 cycling and this can lead to misfire and vibration.
now that said, on efi, bad O2 or borderline lean can cause surge, but vibration??? good?
