I would say 80% of the time my bike is missing, sometimes pops, and even hear a short air sucking sound coming from the engine now and then. The other 20% of the time it is running just fine. It doesnt mater if the engine is warm or cold. I had it looked at by 2 mechanics, the first guy was stumped, he checked the PC and it was fine. I changed the gas out and still had problems, plugs look good and are new.
I took it to another mechanic so it could get fixed and mapped, they rode it 30 miles and said it was running fine. I had to ask if he was sure it was my bike..he laughed. I had them map it...i picked it up and it was running fine. 2 days later i get on to ride and the problem is back again.
I talked toa 3rd mechanic yesterday and he told me WAWA gas could be my problem because it has small percentage of Etahnol in it. I spent a few bucks on a fuel additive hoping this would be the fix. Im thinking a fuel problem would be constant...so im not sure on that diagnosis. Ive ridden 40 miles with good gas with additive and still have the problem.
I never know when i start out if the bike is gonna run ruff or not. Little frustrated!!! My intake gasket were checked as well...no sign of sucking in air there. No engine work has been done on this bike. Last thing that was done is changed out handlebars.
Any advice on what to check next would be greatly appreciated.
