hi guys! i've got a 2006 road king efi. riding home from the bar last night. the engine just shut down like it is out of gas! a biker in a pickup truck stopped and drove me to the gas station. after adding a gallon of gas the engine will turn over but won't start , the bike was not out of gas! anybody got any quick ideas i don't want to call the dealer to come pick it up! cheers from montana
That happened to my 07 street glide. Turned out to be the valve on the bottom of the fuel tank, it has a check valve. Mine kept closing shutting off fuel flow, push it up toward the tank and you will feel it detent. If that works change it out, it will keep closing on you.
Spray some starting fluid (ether) in the throttle body while you're trying to start it. If it does, it's a fuel problem. If not, it's no spark. As mentioned, check your codes.
