Engine Codes
Hey Guys,
I'm an old school dirt rider who just switched over to street riding so I can ride with my girl. Just bought a 2006 Street Bob and when I left the place of purchase I noticed the speedo isn't working or key fob. The key light is on and was hoping one of the masters here could help me out.
I tried holding the odometer button for five seconds to get any codes but to no avail. Any tips please? Thank you....

Did you do this:
To get the DTC within an area of diagnostics, push and hold the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and release. If there are any DTC's the code will be displayed or the word “none” will appear if there are no DTC's. Push the odometer reset button again to view additional codes if they exist. 1 - Record the codes.

He should have checked it, before you left. Take it back, maybe you're not following the right procedure for checking, have a look at this, easier than typing for me.

Also note I don't have an engine light on. Just the key light. Possible bad ground on bike or battery?
