Just ordered a FP3 for my 2014 RoadKing. I tried to install it, but its not reading the bike. After I
looked at the 6 pin connector closely looks like there is only 5 pins. Would there be a reason to remove a pin?
Fairly certain. I could be wrong though. It was on the left side under the panel. The FP3 fit perfectly in it. Haven't seen any other connector that the FP3 would fit into.
Sorry, I can help ya. I looked in my ‘17 FSManuel, and there aren’t a lot of 6 pin connectors to get confused with. Is it possible the pin came loose and is dangling?
The connector is a 6 pin type but only has 4 pins. There are two connectors under that side cover one is the Data port the one you want. The other is an accessory port.
