Check Engine Light
Quick question. I have a 2014 Heritage with under 10k miles on it. Just purchased her about a month ago, one previous owner, so it did a lot of sitting. In any case, been riding quite a bit since then. Yesterday took it for a long ride (about 200 miles). Half way through, stopped for lunch for about an hour and got back on the road.
A few miles on and I see an amber engine check light. It would flash on for a moment, then turn off. It seemed to come on each time I accelerated. I stopped the bike and checked or oil, obvious damage, etc. All seemed fine. Started the bike back up and the light stayed on for a mile or so, the shut off. It stayed off the remainder of the trip home.
I read the diagnostic codes and saw a P0031 error registered (no other errors). From what I researched this is a low voltage to the O2 sensor error. I checked the battery and it puts out a consistent 12v never falls below 10v when cranking, so it seems ok. I dont see any damaged wiring or frayed connections. Given this was intermittent, any ideas or thoughts on what else to look for?
