acc. light relay?

acc. light relay?
Just installed Kurykyn silver bullets on engine gaurd as driving lights. They are wired through the empty plug under the seat andcontrolled bythe left nacelle switch. They are wired into the only pin in the deutch connector that has power with the ignition swithch on.
All was well until I went for a ride - the 15amp "P/A" fuse blows. The lights work correctly as long as the bike is in my shop(naturally!).There is/are no shorts in the wiring.
Should I install a relay on these lights? Or what else can I look at?
