I have cleaned IAC and observed at key on/off, smooth movement to the extremes.
replaced fuel filter.
have not gauged fuel pressure but will.
From vibration and use, the contact point between the screw and the lever must recede slightly and should be able to compensate for.
I had an improvement by opening the plate slightly with the screw and could open slightly more, but I dislike not having some documentation to refer to.
My Powervision will show both conditions,
So to do this , I will go ride, get ET to >105, pull over, let idle and remove the air cleaner and adjust screw when the ET gets to 105.
Weather is crap today, so will have to do later.
there is no document for this, the motor company did not intened this to be a serviceable point. you need to check all your other issues. this is what i meant about a band aid. you are on the right track about checking your fuel pressure. the other thing to look for is vacum leaks. these bikes are still very prone to vacum leaks at the intake manifold to head seal and this would cause your symptoms.

Update,
Problem persisted so I decided to remove the IAC and clean more thoroughly. Once removed, observed the pintle was extended beyond the park position and was loose. I removed the piece and screwed it back in till tight and replaced. No trouble in subsequent rides. Replacement IAC on the way.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
