2020 Ultra Limited throwing code
Have 2020 Ultra Limited that keeps throwing codes. Have had bike into dealership twice for the same issue, they don't seem to be able fix or have any clue
It started happening after I took bike in for service, I rode home no problem a couple of days later engine light and more codes.
Bike goes back and they cleared all codes bike ran fine for a couple of weeks then codes came back again.
Took bike back, this time they changed out battery and seemed to fix problem, this was about a month or so ago.
Rode to work yesterday all was fine then this morning I get on bike starts, drops into limp mode with engine light on and throwing same codes.
I cleared the codes after work and bike seems to be running fine.
Anyone had this problem.
Codes it throws are :
ECM - P1100h & P1511h
ABS - C1100h
Cheers in advance.
Started by checking grounds. There are two main ones on ours and I would assume there the same on yours. They're behind the seat on down tubes of frame in front of battery tray. Remove seat and side covers as they're hidden under the wiring, at least on ours. I cleaned the terminals and applied dielectric grease before tightening them.
I also have checked as many of the plugs as possible. I've made sure they were clean and dry and applied dielectric grease to them. I did find some with moisture and some corrosion on them. Seems dielectric grease was in short supply the day ours was assembled.
Might not solve your problem, but it's a cheap and easy 1st step.
