Changing my exhaust to a 2:1 Bassani on my '22 Heritage Softail Classic 114. Long story short - I want bigger saddle bags and need the exhaust to ride below the rear axle.
HD shop informed me they would need to put it on the dyno after the exhaust install and I would need a tuner. Ok - I understand what a tuner does, etc. And the only options out there are the HD Screamin' Eagle tuners. $$$
Was also chatting with a former HD Service manager and he recommended doing a Stage 1 at the same time. Hmmm........ this is starting to get expensive! LOL. So........... do I really need to do a Stage 1?

Don't know how long you been riding or riding style but I do know most will want more eventually.. With that, do the Cam, Pipes and Air cleaner all at once with one dyno tune.. You won't regret it.. Spend a little more now so you don't spend more later..

Been riding a long time and Nope - don't need more - am happy with the 114 - my only complaint is the saddlebags are too small - have always had that complaint about the softail bags. Already getting pretty expensive switching exhaust, getting the new bags, service to install the exhaust and tune it. LOL
My riding style doesn't require any more performance/speed. The bike has plenty as it is.
The SE tuners are definitely NOT the only tuners or the desired tuners. Dont waste your money.
ok........... and those other tuners are??? Don't leave me hanging! LOL
I have done a search (however not on eBay.... yet) and have found a couple that are no longer available/as in not being produced. Talked to a rep from COBRA at a recent HD event and they no longer make them. EPA reg's and all............
