Hi All,
I have a 2011 Dyna Fatbob that needs a new ECU.
Im after advice as to how and what can it be replaced with.
I don’t want to spend a heap of money on it atm, cos it’s a project bike that I purchased not running, so I’m keen to see if I can make it run first somehow, someway.
The part number for the ecm is 32852-11.
I have an 05 softail, an 07 Sportster and an 07 Ultra classic.
They all have different part numbers on their ECM’s. Are any of them likely to be compatible?
They all have the same size and shape plug as the the 2011 dyna.
It's not common for an ECM to go bad, but if that's the diagnosis you don't have much choice. The units that are on your bikes have to be programmed for the Dyna, just like a new blank one that comes from HD. I don't know if any of those are compatible with your bike, so check the part numbers. A dealer can do it, but I've read where someone with the right equipment is able to get that done.
Please provide more information.
Does the bike do anything with batter charged when you turn it on ?
Did it come from a salvage sale ?
All the information can can provide will help others help you.

Could one be used for testing purposes?
the 07 will work, just swap it and crank it over but please note the tune would be different and the tssm would shut it down after it starts . But at least you can use it for testing, To use it as a replacement you would have to load the dyna tune after learning the tssm to the ecm. You can bypass the tsm as well
