2016 Dyna Switchback with an intermittent starting issue. I went for a ride today with no issues. When I went to start the bike back up after getting gas it would not start. Clutch was pulled and the bike was in neutral. Run/stop switch was in the proper position. I could hear the fuel pump turn on. Then when I hit the starter button I just heard a humming noise that sounded like the fuel pump. The lights dimmed. I didn't hear a click like I normally would with a dead battery. I turned the bike on/off a few times and eventually it started. When I got home I shut it off and it started right away. Then I shut it off again and had the same issue.
I checked the battery connections at the gas station and they are good. I am going to check battery voltage and charge if needed after finishing this post.
Only other thing I can think to do is clean the contacts in the housing.
One thing you can do is bypass the BCM by jumping between starter control connection on the solenoid and the battery cable running to the solenoid. Motor should crank. Make damned sure the bike is in neutral as all safeguards are disabled.

I'll check codes once I put the battery back in when I get home from work.
So I got it narrowed down to it will only start on the kickstand and won't start standing up.
Threw error code B2123.
I checked the battery. For some reason, when the dealer installed my lights, they took the spacer out of the battery box and never reinstalled it. I'm guessing this is what made it so positional.
I put a spacer back in the box and so far so good.
Just wanted to follow up for anyone who needed this advice in the future.
