hey hello I have an intermittent issue somewhat similar in context... '05 fxdwgi 69k miles. dies on deceleration! starts up after cycling ignition switch. first thought fuel psi, haven't checked yet, second thought MAP sensor. No Codes. connections look ok. never checked fuel psi on HD before? thanks in advance

No clue! I'll bump the question with this response and maybe someone else will have an idea for you.
To check the fuel pressure, you are going to need an inline fitting for the male QD on the fuel tank. That then mates to the fuel line female QD. Or a fitting to do the same at the fuel rail QD. There are kits that can be purchased pretty reasonably [ eBay ] to do either method. But essentially you have to tap into the fuel line.
I tried the O'Rielly's auto parts to see if they had a loaner fuel pressure kit, which they do, but it did not have the fittings for the HD QD's. But you might try some of the auto places you have and see what they have.
hey thanks for responding. i didn't get any notification.
my first (probably LAST) fuelie... reason being COST (tools, equipment, learning)
so I've been looking thru the manual, EFI tests, flow charts.... able to check fuel pump and relay volts and continuity, found the fuel vent/check valve hose was deteriorated!
temp replacement, rode around the block.... further riding testing today. crossing my fingers ..
so not getting much help here, fyi, the problem turns out to be fuel pump related.. the sock on bottom of pump was deteriorated laying in pieces in tank, probably from ethanol blend fuel.
also codes for crank sensor and map sensor tripped. cleared. the fuel filter was packed full of muck, surprised it even ran. tank is new from previous owner but obviously the inners are used. cleaned everything best i could; tank, filter, map sensor, temp reassembled to verify no other sensor issues. parts ordered. running good again. injector cleaner and non ethanol fuel, putting on miles until parts arrive.. fuelies are great when everything works proper.. still considering carb!
hope the info helps someone else
