Review alignment of switch.
Go watch a yo u tube video.
Alignment is critical.
If someone worked on front end... fork rubber dougnuts could have rotated too.
The dougnuts develope a crease over time that makes locking and unlocking smooth.
If doughnut is rotated the crease is no longer so it takes a while to crease again.
That is why some bikes require a pull or push of bars to lock.
