Default One More SERT Question

Hi All,
I have spent many hours searching the forums here and if my question has been answered, I failed to recognize it.

I recently purchased an 07 Roadking and yes, I have all the symptoms that people cmplain about. BUT, the only real thing I am looking to correct at this time is the heat issue. What I would really like to do is get the SERT and load a map with "stock" configuration that may address the heat issue. Then in due time when I feel like I am ready to pull the trigger on a stage 1, I will already have the SERT.

My question is, "Is there a canned map included on the CD that is for a bone stock configuration?"

Badlands,
No, I don't think you'll find a bone stock canned map in the SERT cdrom. But even if it had one I doubt you'd want to use it. To lower your temps you need to richen the mixture. So, I'd suggest installing the map for your model that has the stage1 mods done to iteven if you don't have them yet. In this way you'll have a richer mixture and less heat. Just my $.02.

Thanks Bart!!

I guess I had never heard someone here question about adding a SERT to a bike with no mods to specifically address the heat issue. I never realized that a canned map for a Stage 1 would be ok to put on a bike with no mods.

Thanks Again!

Send me an email and I will send you a map that may work for you. There are no maps for the 07 that will cool your bike. The 07's work on closed loop when the AF mixture is set to 14.6. So what we have done is make maps that go into a open loop to cool the motor and richen it up.

Send the email to hasselbach@adelphia.net, and I will forward you a specific map that should work for you.
